Today the European Union decided that from December 15 citizens of Bosnian and Albanian nationals may travel without a visa within the Schengen area.
With the abolition of visas Bosnian citizens with biometric passports can travel in 22 European Union countries, and also in Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, where they can stay for a maximum of 90 days.
Cittadini bosniaci non potranno comunque viaggiare senza visto in paesi dell'Unione Europea che non fanno parte del contratto Schengen: Gran Bretagna, Irlanda, Romania e Bulgaria.
Per arrivare alla decisione della EU a togliere l'obbligo di visto ai cittadini bosniaci la Bosnia-Erzegovina ha dovuto soddisfare 174 condizioni tecniche tra le quali la più importante erano i passaporti biometrici.
